Do you love music?
Are you free Sunday afternoon?

Would you be willing to donate $10, $15 or $25 to support music education and the arts for the school children of our community?

If you can respond “yes” to these four questions, then please consider this a personal invitation to come and treat yourself to “as much chocolate as you can tolerate” in the beautiful lobby of the Historic Elsinore Theatre. (170 High Street SE, Salem)

Each year, Salem Community Concerts holds a fundraiser on the Sunday preceding Valentine’s Day. Friends and patrons donate delicious chocolate desserts of every sort.

Chocolate Sunday is the day to come, sit around a table with friends and enjoy good music, coffee or tea and the most fabulous chocolate available in Salem on a Sunday afternoon! Chocolate cake, cookies, brownies, candy, ice cream sundaes! Even the door prizes are chocolate!

Chamber music is provided by advanced orchestra music students of West Salem High School, under the direction of Daryl Silberman.

At 3:00, everyone will be invited into the main theater to enjoy a 30-minute concert by Rick Parks on the Mighty Wurlitzer Pipe Organ.

Invite a friend or two, or bring the whole family, plan to come at 2:00 or 3:00 p.m. and indulge in a delightful Chocolate Sunday afternoon!
