Dear students and parents,
I need to let you know that I'm in the process of accepting a position in Illinois - in the Chicago area - at a big high school. My family and I will be leaving in August to move East.
The Titan Orchestra program is healthy, strong, musical, and in wonderful shape to hand over to an amazing new director. The process will take a little while - the HR folks here in Salem-Keizer are amazing, and students and parents will likely be kept in the 'know' as the process unfolds. I intend on leaving the orchestra room and program in GREAT shape for whomever takes over. And, I will make myself available both to you and the new director, if I can be of any help.
I have already talked face-to-face with graduating seniors and this year's Chamber Orchestra. I will talk in the morning to periods 3 and 6, and the band and choir kids.
I will send out more year-end info in the next few days. Mr. John and the admin team here at West are working on the final class assignments for next year - this info should be made available either by this Friday or next Monday.
I cannot express how much I have loved my 6 years here in Salem and how much I care deeply for West students! I hope that I've positively impacted your life and leave you happy for music here at West, and happy that you got some time working with me.
